Manila, Philippines – 3 June 2025: Climate Smart Ventures (CSV) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ping Mendoza as a new Senior Advisor. Mr. Mendoza will also take on the leadership role of Chief Commercial Officer for the Asia Energy Transition Platform (AETP), a venture capital fund launched by CSV in 2023.

CSV, a Singapore-based company specializing in capital market-driven solutions to accelerate the shift from conventional to renewable energy to deliver a just and managed transition suited for Asia’s growth, is the sole owner and cornerstone investor of AETP. The fund prioritizes commercial and industrial (C&I) applications integrating advanced energy storage across Southeast Asia, where Mr. Mendoza’s expertise will be invaluable for its growth and impact.

As a Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Mendoza will focus on providing strategic leadership and fostering high-performing teams to drive growth and innovation within the energy transition and finance sectors. This involves close collaboration with senior leadership to shape the organization’s strategic and commercial vision, ensuring alignment with industry trends, and stakeholder expectations. A key part of the role includes venture building towards a culture centered on results, maintaining strong investor and partner relationships, and offering hands-on support to investee companies in areas such as business development, operations, and financial strategy.

On the commercial front, he will lead fundraising efforts to secure capital for AETP while also co-leading business development strategies to unlock new investment and venture building opportunities across Asia, with a focus on the Philippines. Responsibilities extend to co-leading due diligence, conducting in-depth financial and market analysis, and supporting the structuring and negotiation of investment terms to align with the organization’s risk, return, and impact objectives.

Mr. Mendoza has a decade of deep expertise in the renewable and clean energy sector, encompassing solar, wind, energy efficiency, storage, and electric mobility. His career includes significant experience in both project development and investment in high-impact energy solutions.

He currently holds the positions of President and Board Member of the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance (PSSEA) and is a co-founder of the residential solar technology start-up, Yuda.com.ph. His prior leadership roles include positions at Shell, Clime Capital, AboitizPower, and Solar Philippines.
