Andy Yap

CEO and Director

Andy Yap is the Chief Executive Officer of Climate Smart Ventures, where he leads the firm’s strategy and operations from its Singapore headquarters. A specialist at the intersection of high finance and decarbonization, Andy previously served as Partner (Finance Sector) at a leading sustainability consultancy. There, he advised sponsors and lenders on complex ESG strategies, project finance due diligence, and risk mitigation for high-stakes M&A transactions. His track record includes collaborating with Southeast Asian banks to architect sustainable investment & finance frameworks, leading major second-party opinion projects, and helming the region’s Carbon Markets practice. 

His earlier career included close to two decades of experience at BofA Securities, Merrill Lynch, and Deutsche Bank, spanning corporate banking, transaction banking, and sales & trading. He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Development and an MBA in Data Analytics (with Distinction). He earned his undergraduate degree in Computational Finance with a minor in Technopreneurship, Andy is also a certified GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and PRI Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis holder.

Lawrence Ang

Chairman and Founder

Lawrence is a seasoned ESG advisor and energy transition expert, who brings over fifteen years’ experience at the nexus of finance and Asia’s energy transition. Lawrence leads Climate Smart Ventures, a transaction advisory firm specializing in harnessing the full spectrum of financing to deliver capital market-driven solutions that retire fossil fuel-fired plants and replace them with renewables in the context of rapidly growing South and Southeast Asia. Prior to this role, he has served as a Senior Advisor for a range of Fortune 500 companies, family offices, and development projects in Asia and Africa cutting across themes such as clean energy, fisheries, innovative financing, SME development, and digital inclusion. To date, Lawrence has the unique achievement of having led transactions that have resulted in fossil fuel divestments, blended finance facilities, and award-winning partnerships, that have altogether unlocked over USD 100M in sustainable investments. Lawrence was Director for Asia for a frontier markets consulting firm, and senior manager at a leading global renewable energy company. He was a member of the Philippine Delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Convention on Biological Diversity (UNCBD) from 2009-2012 negotiating on issues related to financing, and climate change mitigation.

Lawrence completed his EMBA from the Asian Institute of Management, and has diplomas on Behavioral Finance from Yale University, and Experimental Design for Business Innovation from the Stockholm School of Economics. He finished his undergraduate studies with a specialization in natural resources management from the Australian National University.

Matt Carpio

CFO, Head of Transaction Advisory, Interim-Head of Philippine Operations

Matt joined CSV as its Head of Transaction advisory in 2021. His experience includes USD and PHP capital raising exercises, project finance, and merger and acquisition transactions for top Philippine corporations and conglomerates. Prior to CSV, he was a Finance Manager for AC Energy from 2018 to 2021 helping the group raise over USD1bn in green bonds, USD260mn in fresh equity, and more than USD500mn in various funding and banking requirements, along with other special projects. Before joining AC Energy, he worked for the Bank of the Philippine Islands, focusing on investment banking and corporate banking from 2012 to 2018. He also spent 5 years in EastWest Bank as part of its Corporate Planning and Budget group before joining BPI. He graduated from De Lasalle University – Manila with a Bachelor of Science in Management of Financial Institutions degree and an MBA from Ateneo Graduate School of Business. 

Sarah Ahmed

Director

Sara has steered efforts focused on the energy transition in the Philippines in her role as an energy finance analyst in the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis (IEEFA). She is an author of several studies on island grid transition to renewables, coal stranded asset risk, rooftop solar, auctions and energy transition prospects. Sara has also acted as an advisor to public and private institutions on the integration of climate transition risk and physical climate risks in macroeconomic and subnational country development strategies. Sara previously worked as an investment advisor specializing in originating and structuring energy opportunities in emerging markets.

Sara holds an MS in Finance from the Simon Graduate School of Business, University of Rochester in New York, USA and BA in Economics and Development Finance & Energy from Knox College in Illinois, USA. She is currently completing an MS in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University.

Farzana Hoque

Head of Corporate Communications and Thought Leadership

Farzana leads Climate Smart Ventures’ thought leadership and corporate communications functions and supports strategic partnership development with the firm. She has authored over a dozen research publications on energy transition, ESG, and sustainable investment topics with CSV, the US Sustainable Investment Forum, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). At CSV she designs and facilitates interactive workshops for leading energy and finance practitioners to ideate, test, and advance energy transition deals and initiatives; “Sandbox” sessions have to date supported projects under two themes: unlocking transition finance for the coal-to-clean shift and scaling finance for customer-owned renewable electrification assets. She is also an ESG and just transition consultant for businesses and investors.

Farzana’s previous roles include positions at the US Sustainable Investment Forum, AfricInvest Group, Asian Tiger Capital Partners, and the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. She holds an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, with concentrations in Monetary Theory and Environmental Policy, and a B.A. in International Relations with a focus on Economic Development, also from Tufts.

Ivan Galura

Associate Director

Ivan is a seasoned policy, legal, and regulatory expert specializing in energy, environment, and climate in the Philippines. With extensive experience as Senior Associate for Energy Policy and Regulation at Climate Smart Ventures, Ivan has led major projects and policy initiatives on just energy transition, clean energy adoption, carbon markets, and regulatory reforms. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Senate of the Philippines Committee on Energy working to pass 11 laws that advanced affordable, sustainable, and reliable energy for the country. Prior to his stint in the legislature, he also served as Attorney and Hearing Officer at the Energy Regulatory Commission. Ivan holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Environmental and Energy Law from the University of Birmingham graduating with Merit, and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines. He has been a member of the Philippine Bar since 2016.

Jessel Q. Agno

Associate Director

Jessel joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2022, bringing over 6 years of experience in transactions advisory, corporate finance, and risk management services. For that entire duration, she has been solely with Reyes Tacandong & Co., working on financial due diligence and valuation for mergers and acquisitions, financial model development for project planning and evaluation, general consulting, and internal auditing.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. She has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2015.

Sarah Aquino

Senior Associate

Sarah has over 10 years of experience in public policy, governance, and local economic development through her work in Philippine government and civil society.

She directly served as Policy and Technical Officer for the late Tourism Secretary Ramon R. Jimenez, Jr., whose term drove macroeconomic growth under the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign. Wanting to understand issues on the ground, she then served as Monitoring and Evaluation Officer and Senior Area Manager for the national anti-poverty program of former Vice President Leni Robredo. After her time in government, she became the Business Development Lead for the Institute for Leadership, Empowerment, and Democracy, a non-profit think tank consultancy for public finance and fiscal policy. She is also a founding board member of Juan Portrait, a non-profit organization that supports remote communities through photography.

Sarah graduated from the Bachelor of Science in Management Honors program of the Ateneo de Manila University in 2013.

Bhavya Puri

Senior Associate

Bhavya has over 4 years of professional experience in business and corporate strategy, designing and implementing sustainability roadmaps and greenhouse gas emission accounting mechanisms for leading industrial manufacturing companies in India. She has worked with C-suite executives of Fortune 500 companies to develop and scale digital transformation, value chain optimization, and innovation capabilities. She is passionate about building solutions that ensure long-term value creation and resilience for people, planet, and profit.

Bhavya graduated from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, India with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She has completed her Master of Science in International Business with a Distinction from the University of Birmingham and Singapore Institute of Management, focusing on research in the field of circular economy business models.

Nian Sayoc

Senior Associate

Nian joined CSV in 2022, with over 3 years of experience in business analytics, research, and market intelligence for the fast-moving consumer goods and banking industries. His past work involved designing strategic workshops for clients, conducting financial and industry analyses, and generating market outlook reports and insights.

He graduated from De La Salle University – Manila with a BSc in Applied Financial Economics and BSc Applied Corporate Management (Magna Cum Laude).

Yusuf Utomo

Senior Associate

Yusuf Utomo joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2025, bringing nearly eight years of diverse experience in financial advisory, investment banking, impact-focused capital markets, and large-scale operational project management.

He began his career in impact investing, supporting strategic investments and enhancing portfolio risk management in emerging markets. He then progressed into investment banking, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, project finance, and corporate restructuring. Before joining CSV, he worked in the Strategy and Transactions division of a Big 4 global professional services firm, providing specialized valuations and strategic advisory to clients in the energy, infrastructure, and pharmaceutical sectors.

Beyond his corporate career, Yusuf volunteered as a Humanitarian Affairs Officer with the United Nations in Myanmar, where he coordinated relief operations in conflict-affected and disaster-hit regions, including during the Rohingya Crisis. This experience strengthened his dedication to advancing initiatives that foster community resilience and support sustainable development in vulnerable regions.

Yusuf graduated with an MBA in Finance from Gadjah Mada University and earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunication Engineering from Telkom University.

Rosie Nhung Tran

Senior Associate

Rosie Tran joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2025, bringing seven years of experience in climate finance, carbon markets, and sustainable development. Prior to joining CSV, she served as an Urban Resilience Specialist at the World Bank, supporting the preparation and transaction of climate-smart city pipelines in Vietnam and Thailand. She built full financial models for carbon credit transactions, designed crediting and sales strategies under Verra and Gold Standard, and delivered capacity-building programs for government and city officials.

Before that, Rosie worked at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Headquarters in Paris, contributing to the Multi-Dimensional Reviews of Vietnam and Thailand and advising on environmental and energy policy reforms. She also lectured in management economics at Foreign Trade University.

She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Foreign Trade University, Vietnam and Colorado State University, USA, and a master’s degree in Analysis and Policy in Economics from Paris School of Economics and Pantheon Sorbonne University, France.

Alvin Prado

Senior Associate

Alvin joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2024 as an Associate, bringing in more than 11 years of experience in the renewable energy industry. He has expertise in design, construction, and project development. Previously, he worked as a Project Developer at BayWa r.e. APAC and a Project Development Manager at Prime Asset Ventures. He has also held engineering roles at Solaready, Phoenix Solar, and Solar Philippines. 

Alvin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of the Philippines.

Kyle Constantino

Senior Associate

Kyle has over 2 years of professional experience in community and environmental resource planning, with several adopted municipal level projects such as Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), Local Shelter Plan (LSP) and more. He also has experience in research and policy work about environmental laws locally and internationally as part of his degree’s curriculum. 

Kyle graduated from the University of the Philippines Los Banos with a degree program in BS Human Ecology major in Human Settlements Planning.

JM Cifra

Senior Associate

Jose Manual (JM) joined CSV as an associate in 2024, bringing a broad range of experience from the banking and consulting sectors. His expertise includes data analytics, customer due diligence, project management, research, and financial analysis. Prior to CSV, JM worked at Macquarie Group on Counterparty Lifecycle Management (CLM). 

He earned a degree of BSc Applied Financial Economics and BSc Applied Corporate Management from De Lasalle University – Manila.

Karan Shah

Senior Associate

Karan joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2024, bringing valuable experience in core finance, transaction advisory, and financial model development. His nearly 2-year tenure with a Big 4 firm honed his skills in corporate finance and investment banking, particularly within infrastructure, real estate, and debt advisory. Notably, he played a key role in securing $430 million in funding for various clients, including a strategic promoter buyout and infrastructure project financing. Prior to venturing into investment banking, Karan established a solid foundation in accounting through a 3-year articleship with a Big 4 firm’s Assurance department. This experience equipped him with the financial statement analysis skills and ensured regulatory compliance for prominent companies, from Fortune 500 conglomerates to medium-sized businesses (MSME), through annual audits and quarterly reviews.

Karan joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2024. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has successfully passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai, where he secured 4th rank in Semester VI.

Anirban Maity

Administrative Manager

Anirban (Ani) joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2024, bringing in over a decade of experience in operations, banking, and administrative management. His primary expertise is in process optimization, client relations, and financial management, supported by an MBA from Sikkim Manipal University and a BBA from the Institute of Engineering and Management in India. He has held previous roles at HSBC, the World Bank, and GHF Info Services.

Allan Lee

Business Lead

Allan Lee joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2026 as a Business Lead with over 17 years of experience in banking across various functions, including cash management operations, Global Markets – FX, and banking nostro management.

He holds a BSc in Commerce, Banking and Finance. Allan began his banking career in Cash Management Operations at Deutsche Bank, before transitioning to Global Markets as an FX Salesperson at Bank of America.

He later developed a strong interest in ESG finance and now focuses on building collaborations with banks and financial institutions to advance opportunities in the ESG and sustainable finance space.

Azhar Santhubatcha

Associate

Azhar is a consultant specializing in carbon and climate finance, with more than two years of experience in carbon project and methodology development. His recent work has been dedicated to creating a methodology for end-of-life vehicle recycling. He has held previous roles at Meta Materials Circular Markets, Sustainability Economics, and South Pole.

Azhar holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology and an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Mysore.

Kylene Boholano

Associate

Kylene joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2025 as an Associate, bringing in nearly two years of experience in economics, market research, and data analytics. Prior to joining, she had her consulting experience in the QSR industry and FMCG sectors.

Kylene graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in BS Economics from the University of the Philippines – Diliman, with a focus on statistics and econometrics.

Felicia Singson

Associate

Felicia has over 2 years of experience in development work, project management, and research within the tourism and energy industries, along with a background in writing and journalism. She was also awarded for her work on a project involving the Indigenous Youth of the Philippines.

Felicia graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in AB Development Studies, specializing in Urban and Regional Development, from Ateneo de Manila University.

Evano Djatmiko

Associate

Evano joined CSV as an analyst in 2023. He has over a year experience in investment due diligence, feasibility studies, and deals advisory from a venture capital, big 4 firm and a boutique management consulting firm.

Evano graduated with a degree in Business Management from Bandung Institute of Technology and also from Rennes School of Business specializing in Finance and Banking as the double degree program.

Lexie Pelaez

Associate

Lexie joined Climate Smart Ventures as an Analyst in 2025, building on her experience as an intern at Sierra Madre Private Equity. Her expertise spans financial research, data analysis, and economic research focused on financial inclusion in the Philippines. She also has contributed to the development and execution of digital marketing initiatives for a Philippine startup.

Lexie holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, specializing in International Economics and Finance, from the University of Navarra in Pamplona, Spain.

Jes Francis M. Tanchuling

Associate

Francis joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2026, bringing a blend of public-sector conventional regulatory expertise and private-sector renewable energy development experience. He spent nearly eight years with the Department of Energy – Energy Resource Development Bureau, where he served as Senior Science Research Specialist, overseeing technical policy implementation and regulatory compliance for coal and nuclear mineral resources.

Francis has also worked with renewable energy developers, including Mainstream Renewable Power Philippines and Solar Philippines, supporting energy analytics, resource assessment, and project development. Francis holds a Master of Science in Energy Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of the Philippines.

Nicole Enriquez

Associate

Nicole joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2026 as an Analyst, bringing over two years of specialized experience in financial analysis, reporting, and process optimization. She has a proven track record in managing complete accounting cycles and conducting in-depth analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Silver Navarro

Principal Advisor

Silver is a registered electrical engineer specialized in renewable energy and hybrid systems as it relates to Philippine electric cooperatives. He started his career as a science research specialist in 1990 working on off-grid solar, wind, hydro technologies with local and international trainings on renewable energy in Thailand, Indonesia, India, China and Germany and implemented projects in Vanuatu and Kygyztan to name a few. Silver provides consulting services in implementing renewable energy projects both on-grid and off-grid for private companies and donor agencies such as the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, UNDP, GIZ, as well as local and international NGO’s. He also does techno financial assessment and due diligence work for renewable energy projects seeking financing from banks like ADB, IFC, BPI and other renewable energy investors. 

Silver is active in policy dialogs and advocacy in promoting renewable energy and sustainable development. He also conducts trainings and workshops on renewable energy with agencies such as the Development Academy of the Philippines and the Technical Education Skills Development Authority.

Martin Banaria

Principal Advisor

Martin is a technology and operations leader with over 15 years of experience in technology delivery, engineering leadership, and people leadership across a wide range of industries, with sector-specific depth in fintech, energy tech, and climate-tech. He began his career in IT service delivery and consulting at HP, IBM, and Orange Business Services, before moving into cloud architecture and solutions design at Accenture, where he contributed to approximately $60 million in deal value. At GCash (G-Xchange, Inc.), he served as the head of technology for financial services, leading a cross-functional engineering tribe that enabled the lending portfolio to grow from PHP 16 billion to over PHP 100 billion in disbursements. Martin provides advisory services in technology and digital strategy, organizational design, venture development, and go-to-market positioning for climate and sustainability initiatives.

Martin is the founder of Likha Labs, an innovation studio that helps organizations design solutions that hold under complexity – bridging strategy, governance, and execution. He holds a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from De La Salle University and has undertaken executive education at the Asian Institute of Management.

Andy Yap

CEO and Director

Andy Yap is the Chief Executive Officer of Climate Smart Ventures, where he leads the firm’s strategy and operations from its Singapore headquarters. A specialist at the intersection of high finance and decarbonization, Andy previously served as Partner (Finance Sector) at a leading sustainability consultancy. There, he advised sponsors and lenders on complex ESG strategies, project finance due diligence, and risk mitigation for high-stakes M&A transactions. His track record includes collaborating with Southeast Asian banks to architect sustainable investment & finance frameworks, leading major second-party opinion projects, and helming the region’s Carbon Markets practice. 

His earlier career included close to two decades of experience at BofA Securities, Merrill Lynch, and Deutsche Bank, spanning corporate banking, transaction banking, and sales & trading. He holds a Master’s in Sustainable Development and an MBA in Data Analytics (with Distinction). He earned his undergraduate degree in Computational Finance with a minor in Technopreneurship, Andy is also a certified GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and PRI Advanced Responsible Investment Analysis holder.

Prior to this role, he has served as a Senior Advisor for a range of Fortune 500 companies, family offices, and development projects in Asia and Africa cutting across themes such as clean energy, fisheries, innovative financing, SME development, and digital inclusion. To date, Lawrence has the unique achievement of having led transactions that have resulted in fossil fuel divestments, blended finance facilities, and award-winning partnerships, that have altogether unlocked over USD 100M in sustainable investments. Lawrence was Director for Asia for a frontier markets consulting firm, and senior manager at a leading global renewable energy company. Farzana Hoque

Farzana leads Climate Smart Ventures’ thought leadership and corporate communications functions and supports strategic partnership development with the firm. She has authored over a dozen research publications on energy transition, ESG, and sustainable investment topics with CSV, the US Sustainable Investment Forum, and the International Finance Corporation (IFC). At CSV she designs and facilitates interactive workshops for leading energy and finance practitioners to ideate, test, and advance energy transition deals and initiatives; “Sandbox” sessions have to date supported projects under two themes: unlocking transition finance for the coal-to-clean shift and scaling finance for customer-owned renewable electrification assets. She is also an ESG and just transition consultant for businesses and investors.

Farzana’s previous roles include positions at the US Sustainable Investment Forum, AfricInvest Group, Asian Tiger Capital Partners, and the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. She holds an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University, with concentrations in Monetary Theory and Environmental Policy, and a B.A. in International Relations with a focus on Economic Development, also from Tufts.

Farzana is a graduate of the Fletcher School at Tufts University, where she obtained an M.A. in International Relations with concentrations in Monetary Theory and Environmental Policy. She completed her B.A. in International Relations with a concentration in Economic Development at Tufts University.

Ivan Galura

Associate Director

Ivan is a seasoned policy, legal, and regulatory expert specializing in energy, environment, and climate in the Philippines. With extensive experience as Senior Associate for Energy Policy and Regulation at Climate Smart Ventures, Ivan has led major projects and policy initiatives on just energy transition, clean energy adoption, carbon markets, and regulatory reforms. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Senate of the Philippines Committee on Energy working to pass 11 laws that advanced affordable, sustainable, and reliable energy for the country. Prior to his stint in the legislature, he also served as Attorney and Hearing Officer at the Energy Regulatory Commission. Ivan holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Environmental and Energy Law from the University of Birmingham graduating with Merit, and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines. He has been a member of the Philippine Bar since 2016.

Ivan Galura

Senior Associate

Ivan is a member of the Philippine Bar with over six years of experience focusing on Energy Law, Policy, and Regulation. He previously served as Attorney and Hearing Officer for the Energy Regulatory Commission evaluating applications filed by various regulated entities including both the biggest investor-owned distribution utility as well as the sole transmission service provider in the country. These applications include approval of power supply agreements, ancillary services procurement agreements, capital expenditure programs, rate adjustments, loans, and recovery of pass-through costs. He subsequently served as Deputy Director of the Senate Committee on Energy. Under this capacity, Ivan assisted the Committee Chairman, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian, towards the passage of 11 laws that sought to strengthen regulations in the Philippine energy industry and provide sustainable, accessible, and reliable energy for the Filipino people. Among these laws are the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act, the Electric Cooperative Emergency and Resiliency Fund Act, and the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.

Ivan obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science as well as Juris Doctor degrees from the University of the Philippines. He is currently completing his LLM in Energy and Environmental Law from the University of Birmingham.

Karan joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2024. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He has successfully passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification and holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from H.R. Business Lead

Allan Lee joined Climate Smart Ventures in 2026 as a Business Lead with over 17 years of experience in banking across various functions, including cash management operations, Global Markets – FX, and banking nostro management.

He holds a BSc in Commerce, Banking and Finance. Allan began his banking career in Cash Management Operations at Deutsche Bank, before transitioning to Global Markets as an FX Salesperson at Bank of America.

He later developed a strong interest in ESG finance and now focuses on building collaborations with banks and financial institutions to advance opportunities in the ESG and sustainable finance space.

She holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and Economics from Shiv Nadar University, and had a brief research stint on green hydrogen at NTU Singapore.

Ping Mendoza

Senior Advisor

Ping is a Senior Advisor at Climate Smart Ventures and Chief Commercial Officer of AETP, with 17 years of experience spanning real estate and renewable energy. He previously led Shell’s market entry into renewable generation in the Philippines, led in-country deal flow for Clime Capital, co-founded solar tech start-up Yuda.com.ph and held roles at Gurīn, AboitizPower, and Solar Philippines. He currently serves as President of the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance, a member of the Strategy Board of the Global Solar Council, and previously involved in the National Renewable Energy Board (NREB) of the Department of Energy. Ping holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of the Philippines – Diliman.

Jason Wendell G. Battung

Martin Banaria

Martin is a technology and operations leader with over 15 years of experience in technology delivery, engineering leadership, and people leadership across a wide range of industries, with sector-specific depth in fintech, energy tech, and climate-tech. He began his career in IT service delivery and consulting at HP, IBM, and Orange Business Services, before moving into cloud architecture and solutions design at Accenture, where he contributed to approximately $60 million in deal value. At GCash (G-Xchange, Inc.), he served as the head of technology for financial services, leading a cross-functional engineering tribe that enabled the lending portfolio to grow from PHP 16 billion to over PHP 100 billion in disbursements. Martin provides advisory services in technology and digital strategy, organizational design, venture development, and go-to-market positioning for climate and sustainability initiatives.

Martin is the founder of Likha Labs, an innovation studio that helps organizations design solutions that hold under complexity – bridging strategy, governance, and execution. He holds a BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering from De La Salle University and has undertaken executive education at the Asian Institute of Management.

Andre Barlian

Principal Advisor

Andre Barlian is an investment professional with over 15 years of experience in investment origination, debt structuring and fundraising for corporate entities and social enterprises. Andre has a strong interest in the theme of sustainable investing and is passionate about leveraging his expertise in investment to scale up sustainable development solutions. 

Andre is currently the co-head of investments for an impact investment platform, focusing on climate-change mitigation.
